Most of you know True North Eavestroughing for its’ residential installations, but we also do commercial and industrial installations. That said, I want to show you a commercial gutter installation we just did on a riding arena located in Hampton, Ontario, just north of Bowmanville.

The 15,000 square feet riding arena had iceing build-up in the troughs during the winter, and in some areas the gutters had become detached from the roof. Major issues on any roof, let alone a riding arena of this size.
So this is what we did. The 5″ trough was replaced with seamless 6″ eavestrough to increase the water flow and diversion. And we also replaced the downpipes to and “XL” size to accommodate the increase in water flow. (For more information about gutters and downpipes, visit our FAQs page and watch our videos on these topics.)
As you can see in the photo below, the 6″ gutters were attached with industrial screw brackets (which we also use on our residential installations) and strapped back to the steel roof. I can guarantee you that these gutters will never become detached from the roof!

I was also very fortunate to have the opportunity to ride on one of their magnificent horses. This 15-year-olden burg imported from Germany, has shown fourth level dressage by owner Bath Marray. He is an amazing horse, and stands 18 hands high. I was lucky enough to have my photograph taken with him.

At True North, we’re taking charge in the industry.
We do not horse a round!!
