2017 Business of the Year!

On March 21st, 2018, the Scugog Chamber of Commerce held their “2017 Business of the Year Awards of Excellence Evening.” It’s a big night with the business community in Port Perry and North Durham region. But I almost missed it! We had been working on a home in North York and trying to finish it up so we wouldn’t have to come back the next day. But this was one of those days! And then the traffic on the 401.. unbelievable. Murphy’s Law was working that day. We still had to go to the shop, unload, and get the van ready for the next day. Then head home and get all pretty for the evening.. 🙂 And during all this, I still had a hard time believing that True North Eavestroughing had been nominated.

A great list of Nominees for 2017 Business of  the Year!

With the evening in full swing, I snuck in one of the back doors, so as to not interrupt the MC for the evening, Jonathan van Bilsen. Next thing I know, they are profiling the list of companies nominated in the under 15 employees category. And I knew them all as well: MaryAnn from Focus on Scugog, Brent from Herrington’s Quality Butchers and Marwan from Marwan’s Global Bistro. All of them, working hard to keep their businesses in top form, day in and day out. I felt honoured being nominated with them. And it was a great honour to win for the 2017 Business of the Year! I know that this was a team award, as my crew, my office staff and suppliers all work hard to deliver on our promise that, “we will treat your home or business like it was ours,” and delivering on our motto that “Quality is our #1 Priority!” I also would like to thank all of our customers for the past 25 years. Without you, this would h ave never been possible. And the Chamber of Commerce as well as the Port Perry Business Community. Thank You for your support as well.
